Byrne claimed that during a period of hardship and immense difficulties in her life The Science of Getting Rich became the sole pivotal force that led her to overcome adversity and reach the heights of success.
Wallace D. Wattles combines spirituality and philosophy in this self-help book, all about attaining prosperity. He claims that prosperity is the result of “doing things in a Certain Way.” Wattles states that “Blockheads” and “Stupid People get rich” and that “If anybody else in your town can get rich, so can you.”
Other principles are that you are most likely to do well in a business that you resonate with, one that you have talents and skills in, and one that is suitable to your locality. Now at this point we realise how out-dated this book really is as Wallace wrote it way before the digital era was ever conceived. When you think about a business that markets itself globally then it’s a no-brainer that your chances of success are obviously dramatically increased.
It is even truer that school and university are no longer the only sure-fire ways to carve out a career and that a job is no longer the answer for security as recent global events have taught us.
