Home » Couple Therapy Mini-Marathon Intensive
A relationship intensive is a full immersion into couple therapy that converts months of therapy into two consecutive days. This format structured over the course of one weekend is a speedy and convenient approach to couple therapy that will appeal to couples with weekday obligations or those who need to travel from far away. It is especially suitable for couples who are on the rocks or experiencing significant distress in their relationship and want to achieve faster results. A relationship intensive is a unique opportunity to repair any psychological injuries incurred in the relationship and rebuild intimacy in a calm and emotionally safe space.
There is significant empirical evidence indicating the effectiveness of couple intensives. For example, research published in the “Journal of Marital and Family Therapy” claims that couples who undergo a more intensive model of therapy show significant improvements in relationship quality and satisfaction compared to those who receive traditional weekly therapy. (Baucom et al., 2002).
